A two-movement recital piece for organ. Christus Resurgens (‘Christ Rising Again’) evokes the Resurrection, and Visitatio Sepulchri (‘The Visit to the Tomb’) the serenity of that first Easter morning.

The work was composed in 1974 for the opening of the new Music Room at Dover Grammar School for Boys and is dedicated to my teacher and colleague, Ken Best. The first performance was given by William Fittall.
